Confucius Academy Board of Directors

The Confucius Academy Board of Directors is the supreme coordination and decision-making body of the Guiyang Confucius Academy. Its major duties include: a) to lead and direct the construction and development of the Confucius Academy; b) to make plans for the development and operation of the Confucius Academy; and c) to coordinate important affairs in the running of the Confucius Academy.

Confucius Academy Development Foundation

Co-established by Guizhou Rural Credit Union, Guiyang Confucianism Research Association and the Administrative Office of Guiyang Confucius Academy, the Confucius Academy Development Foundation of is an independent association that ensures the sound operation and development of the Guiyang Confucius Academy. Its major duties include: a) to provide financial support for the Confucius Academy, particularly for the research, learning and exchange activities held by the International Institute for Chinese Culture; and b) to provide institutions and personnel settled in the International Institute for Chinese Culture with study and research grants, publishing funds, and the funds for the Yangming Confucianism Innovation Award and the Yangming Confucianism Promotion Award fund, etc.

Culture Communication Center of Guiyang Confucius Academy

The Culture Communication Center of Guiyang Confucius Academy is the administrative and executive agency of the Guiyang Confucius Academy. Its major duties include: a) to administrate the personnel, property, finance, facilities and maintenance of the Confucius Academy; and b) to provide services and guarantee for all the activities of the Confucius Academy.

Academic Committee of Confucius Academy

The Academic Committee of Confucius Academy, comprised of prominent Chinese and foreign experts, is in charge of the Confucius Academy’s academic affairs. Its major duties include: a) to direct the academic planning and organization of the Confucius Academy; b) to assess the qualification of the institutions and personnel to be settled in the International Institute for Chinese Culture; and c) to identify, evaluate and grant awards to winners of study and research grants, publishing funds, the Yangming Confucianism Innovation Award and the Yangming Confucianism Promotion Award.

Supervision Committee of Confucius Academy

The Supervision Committee of Confucius Academy is the supervising agency of the Guiyang Confucius Academy. Its major duties include: a) to supervise the implementation of decisions and instructions of the provincial committee and government as well as the municipal committee and government; and b) to supervise all the work of the Confucius Academy.

Supported by the Confucius Academy, the Confucius Academy website (www.gykxt.com), through releasing information online, is aimed at building an “online Confucius Academy”, i.e. a network platform for the promotion, spread, learning and research of excellent traditional Chinese culture where the interaction and communication with the public can be possible.

Confucius Academy Press

The Confucius Academy Publishing House, approved by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China, is a comprehensive press devoted to inheriting and promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture.

Confucius Academy Periodical Office

Confucius Academy based on the principles of being scientific, humanistic, independent and open-minded, is a leading humanistic journal with the objective of researching, inheriting, passing on and carrying forward excellent traditional Chinese culture and expanding its international influence. It is published in both Chinese and English, and its target readers mainly include politicians at home and abroad, people working in research institutions, colleges and universities and the media circle, workers in the areas of ideological theories or culture publication and promotion, and leaders and senior managers of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises.

Confucius Museum

The Confucius Museum, located in the underground palace of the Dacheng Hall in the Public Education Area of the Confucius Academy, is designed to display, expound and develop the value of fine traditional Chinese culture through exhibiting Confucius’s life stories, academic course and academic achievements, expanding the Academy’s function of education.

Confucius Academy Art Troupe

The Confucius Academy Art Troupe is to explore, inherit, promote and enrich the artistic resources of excellent traditional Chinese culture. It shows the citizens the unique charisma of Chinese culture and Chinese art through regular performances, spreading fine traditional Chinese culture and passing on the traditional spirit of advocating ethics and doing good deeds.

Yangming Culture Research Institute

The Yangming Culture Research Institute, located at the International Institute for Chinese Culture in the Confucius Academy, is to integrate research forces to explore the cultural heritage left by Wang Yangming and build for experts, scholars and students there a high-end academic platform, i.e. the Yangming Grand Forum, to give speeches and conduct debates, thus allowing different schools of thought flourishing here to promote fine traditional Chinese culture.
