The Sixth Term of “Activities of Confucius Academy for Overseas Students from Guizhou Higher Educational Institutes to Experience the Chinese Traditional Cultures” Held at Confucius Academy

On April 20, the Sixth Term of “Activities of Confucius Academy for Overseas Students from Guizhou Higher Educational Institutes to Experience the Chinese Traditional Cultures” hosted by the Culture Communication Center of Guiyang Confucius Academy is held at Confucius Academy, attended and experienced by 42 overseas students from 13 countries and regions including UK, Germany, France, South Korea, and Thailand.

Overseas Students Experiencing the Chinese Traditional Tea Culture

The current event featured by “etiquette, food, and tea” provides the overseas students with all-round experience of the charisma of Chinese traditional cultures in terms of Han Chinese clothing, etiquettes, cuisines, and tea. “I haven’t realized that the Chinese culture I learnt back in UK is just the tip of the iceberg until I visit Confucius Academy today. I am with my daughter today, feeling the Chinese traditional culture and its extensive and profound charm”, said AN Yong, an overseas student from the UK, to the reporter.

Overseas Students Experiencing Han Chinese Clothing

It is known that there have been six terms of such activities successfully held by Guiyang Confucius Academy since 2016. Up to now, Confucius Academy has established cooperation relationship with multiple higher educational institutes including Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Guizhou University, Guizhou Normal University, and Guizhou Minzu University, having provided colorful experience activities of the Chinese traditional cultures for over 500 overseas students from more than 20 countries such as the United States, Germany, France, Australia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos, and promoted the understanding of overseas students on Chinese traditional cultures and enhanced the cultural exchange and interaction between China and foreign countries.
