In order to better carry forward excellent traditional ethical culture of China, Southwest University and Cultural Communication Center of Guiyang Confucius Academy signed a cooperation agreement on March 29, 2018, launching a cooperative journey based on the academic platform of “Southwest University-Confucius Academy Research Institute of Traditional Chines Ethical Culture”.

Subsequently, the two sides entered the stage of substantial cooperation. From July 18 to August 28, 2018, the Research Center for Traditional Chinese Ethical Culture of Southwest University will send 12 people, including Vice Dean Kang Li, Professor Ren Chou, Professor Wang Bin, Professor Qiu Desheng, Associate Professor Yue Yue, Associate Professor Wang Junjie, Dr. Li Song, Ph.D. Shen Dongxiang majoring in ethics, Master He Xin, as well as Lin Cuixia, for a visit to Confucius Academy and 40-day research and study.

During this period, it is jointly decided by the two sides that the Building No. 14 of the International Institute for Chinese Culture will function as the research and study base for the Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Ethical Culture of Southwest University (Confucius Academy).

It was also agreed that the base would be listed at 10: 00 a.m. on August 13, 2018. This research institute constitutes the first research and study base set up by Confucius Academy with main research on traditional Chinese ethical culture.
